Is your Omni just sending your notes to different people? That's a drag.
A youth pastor is a pastor at a church — so, a member of clergy — who focuses on children. My form of Christianity doesn't include Santa, but we had a couple of converted kids who had met the concept previously and were quite cross that the cookies we were making weren't for him.
The youth pastor shut that down with an observation that he and Santa have been enemies for a long time, and there was no way he was letting anyone give that creep of a serial home invader any cookies! But it was just a joke, he's never met Santa; Santa isn't real in my particular Earth.
The Tower's been sick. I've heard this could be related.
I'm just gonna take my notes on pen and paper for a bit.
... And, just so you know, I don't know what half of what you just said is. It does help confirm that Santa is a weird fairy, though. I wonder if I should take this to Uncle Ford and see if it matches up.
He and Willow are the people I go to for Earth Lore.
I think that weird fairy is very accurate. I'm not sure of any Earths that consider Santa Claus to be a normal man, or if there are any where he's confirmed to be real, but I guess there are infinite possibilities out there.
I'm Sarah, by the way.
Happy to answer any clarifying questions if you can articulate what was confusing. Or just share cookie recipes, since apparently my Omni has been sending my recipes to random people this week.
I don't know what Christianity is, but the way you're talking makes it sound a religion and religions aren't very popular on Remnant?
I mean, some people follow them, but large groups getting too emotionally invested in anything is kind of bad news when there's monsters that show up whenever that happens.
We can share cookie recipes. Or talk about other fairies. I liked trying to befriend all of the ones I met in Julia Sodder's dream.
Oh. Yes, it's the religion that Santa Claus features in. Santa isn't a universal Earth thing, he's only a weird fairy for Christians and secular people who celebrate their holidays.
I'm no longer part of a religion myself, and monsters are certainly part of the reason. But I do still like Christmas cookies. And I used to collect fairy sculptures, but I've never met a real one—did you manage to befriend any of them?
I love jackalopes! Well. The idea of them. I can't say I've met one of those either but we already covered that—I've heard a lot of interesting stories and seen art, though. They look like they'd be nice to pet.
Maybe they'll be in your dreams, if they come from a dream.
They're not the fluffy forest rabbits that you would think of.
They're closer to the hares I heard of that live near the deserts. They're all wiry bundles of nerves that can tell you the future if you give them the right food or drink. Sometimes, if they think you're not looking, they'll even whisper in human voices.
They were nice to me, though. We took care of each other.
...I think my relationship with them is part of why Dorothea decided to be my Patron. A lot of people were afraid of the jackalopes and the stories about them.

I'm sorry, I can't change the name either.
I'm Oscar. I'm not from Earth, so everything with Santa is pretty new.
What's a youth pastor and why was Santa his enemy? He's pretty sus, so I've gotta know so I can save Ruby.

I kinda miss them sometimes. They didn't make it over after the dream fell apart. But, I keep hoping that I'll find them again some day.
